Arvada Spring Clean Up, Jefferson County, Jeffco, 80004, 80007, 80005
Spring time for most means its time for spring cleaning, and the City of Arvada is making this dreaded task easier for its residents with the annual Arvada Clean Up.

Each year the City of Arvada encourages its residents to go through their homes, and leave approved items on their curb for city employees to come haul away free of charge. This year the Arvada Clean Up will continue until May 24th, and each week a different area in Arvada is included in the curb site pick up. See when your pick up week is.

Approved items for pick up included, furniture, mattresses, box springs, stoves, ovens, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, lumber and drywall 8 feet or smaller, carpet in 6 foot rolls and up to 50 pounds, flooring, doors, water heaters, gas grills without propane tanks, disassembled swing sets, and bicycles.
The city is also providing a drop off site for metal items where residents can bring unwanted items that are not approved for pick up. Items that can be dropped off include tires at a maximum of 4 per household without rims, lawn mowers, bicycles, car parts and metal items. The City of Arvada Street Maintenance Facility is being used as the drop off site, and is located at 6161 Olde Wadsworth Boulevard. Items can be dropped off from 7:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m. 7 days a week during the Arvada Clean Up. A driver’s license or utility is required to prove Arvada residency in order to use the free drop off site.

The Arvada Clean Up will has several items they will not pick up, some of which include any item containing Freon (microwave ovens, refrigerators, freezers,) items from a private contractor, garbage, batteries, propane and gas tanks, concrete, bricks, roofing materials, shrubs, mulch, sod and electronics. Any items larger than 8 feet in size and items that cannot be safely hauled away by two workers are also excluded from both the curb site pick up and the free drop off site.
