When I was going through my mother's recipe files, I found this delicious (and deliciously-named) dessert. In her honor, I prepared it for this year'sMother's Day feast. It was so easy, and so delicious, that I had to share. It has nothing to do with real estate, and probably should be renamed "Better Than Brad Pitt" for a new generation, but it's still terrific.
Crust:
1 C. flour
1/2 C. butter or margarine, softened
1 C. finely chopped pecans
Pulse in food processor until thoroughly blended and crumb-like
OR
2 packages graham crackers out of a full box
1/4 C. to 1/2 C. butter or margarine, softened
Pulse in food processor until thoroughly blended and crumb-like
Using either set of ingredients, press into the bottom of a 9x13" pan. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned (about 10 minutes).
Layers:
2 8-oz. pkgs. soft cream cheese
1 C. brown sugar
1 4-serving size box instant vanilla pudding
1 4-serving size box of instant chocolate pudding
3 C. milk
2 8-oz. tubs whipped topping
1 chocolate candy bar
Mix together cream cheese and brown sugar; beat until smooth. Fold in 1 8-oz. tub of whipped topping and spread mixture over cooled crust.
Combine pudding mixes and milk; beat until smooth and thickened. Spread over cream cheese layer.
Spread remaining whipped topping over top; sprinkle with shavings from chocolate bar if desired. Chill in rerigerator overnight; cut into bars and serve.
NOTES: Change to low-cal ingredients and it still tastes delicious! Low-fat ccream cheese, light whipped topping, no-sugar, no-fat pudding, 1% milk, etc.
