Surviving On The Internet

In the "old days", before the internet became the new media, small business was hard-pressed to compete with big competitors who could keep him down by using their marketing dollars. That all changed, for awhile, as the internet incubated micro businesses that popped up everywhere. The playing field had been leveled, allowing the "little guy" an even chance at making money and promoting products and services.

But that did not last long - it never does. It was only a matter of time that big business would figure a way to use the internet to again push out the little guy - and the Big Search Engine (you know who that is, but if I use their name, they will punish us further) is helping them do just that.

As the power of the internet - and the Big Search Engine - grew, the Big Search Engine decided to make things difficult for small business, and showed a penchant for favoring the big guys - the ones with a lot of advertising capital available. By periodically changing their algorithm, they effectively prevent the little guy from keeping their page rank, earned over months, or even years of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) efforts. A site that is in the top 3 on page one today could disappear overnight.

But the big businesses keep their rankings - money talks!

Take our Armando Montelongo review site, for example. We were in the top 3 on page one for our search terms, but Mr. Montelongo's money (he earns millions a year, while we are a non-profit) allows him to push our site off page 1 by creating multiple sites of his own. And once again the deep pockets of big business is used to drown the smaller ones. It makes no difference tothe Big Search Engine that our real estate investing program is far superior, nor do they care that we have maintained an A+ rating at the Better Business Bureau for over 20 years as opposed to the "D" and "F" ratings of Montelongo's numerous company names. Nor are they concerned that the Armando Montelongo scam is berated by the Better Business Bureau - the BBB even posts warning about it. Seems the Big Search Engine does not care if they assist in promoting scams, as long as they get paid.

In fact, the Big Search Engine has actively PREVENTED us from using their paid advertising. We used to pay them to get a sponsored listing on Page 1, but when the big money boys like Armando Montelongo, Carlton Sheets and Dean Graziosi etc. complained, they removed those sponsored ads by the small competitors like us, and no longer allow us to advertise at all in their paid ads.

So, thanks to a conspiracy between the greedy big search engine and greedy big businesses, once again the small businesses are getting pushed out.

Unfortunately for those who could benefit from our program and its very low cost, it appears the only way we will be able to continue to help is to charge a lot more for our course, so we can fund a fight to get ranked. It is a shame that the customer should be the loser, but when big money talks, that's what happens.
