Carol...you may be right. This has been our second best selling book in the PEARLS SERIES for two straight years in a row and has been studied in two local churches as well...It s a great woman's group forum tool and a personal handbook for women in any circumstance...thank you Carol

Richie, I cannot imagine what it was like to counsel victims of date rape for 2 years.  It had to be hard.  Someone very close to me was a victim of date rape, but not my children. 

I am very proud of my 26 year old daughter who has already graduated from college.  She likes to keep in shape and has a blue belt in Judo; has done boxing and kick boxing; mixed martial arts; weight lifting and advanced body challenge.  She is still feminine and only 5' 1".  However, unless a date rapist has a knife or gun, I think my daughter can hold them off and escape.  I wish more young women would do some of the training my daughter has done.

Hi there Pat...yes to your first sentence and it is hard on the family of the victims too. Your daughter, of whom I am quite proud of too,  has a weapon that is the most effective one you can have...It is AWARENESS and then she has taken it to another level where being a victim is not going to happen. She has and IS seeing to that. Her next step is to encourage other women and of course one day write a book that helps to empower others
