Get some local love with the local Association of REALTORS. I know I have touted the West Maricopa Association of REALTORS (WeMAR) before, but I am so impressed with them that I need to do it again.
The CEO and the Board of Directors are responsible for guiding the Association in such a positive direction for it's members. They are supported by a great staff - all knowledgeable and helpful. Each of them will greet you with a smile and take care of any challenge or question that you have. it is because of the selflessness of the volunteers and the caring attitude of the staff that WeMAR is growing and successful for it's members.
They are able to offer many different classes, committees and activities - among other benefits - to their members.
Committees include:
Professional Development - Providing the most relevant professional opportunities that will have the biggest impact on member's lives and the careers so they may thrive in any market.
Government Affairs & Public Policy - The political voice for REALTORS® in the West Maricopa Region.
Communications & Technology - Providing relevant technology and communicates in a timely and effective manner.
Affiliate Group - Providing WeMAR REALTOR® members with products and services as well as networking and business growth opportunities.
WeMAR C.A.R.E.S. - Assisting REALTORS® and Affiliate members when they experience crisis through no fault of their own.
Valley of the Sun YPN - This Young Professionals Network is a member-driven group of career-minded real estate professionals who want to serve the community, educate themselves on the latest technology and industry practices, and network with fellow REALTORS®.
There are always education classes such as continuing education, GRI and specialty classes offered at WeMAR. Continuing Education classes are free for members of the association too - which is a bonus.
Activities are going on all the time with the different committees. One of the exciting ones that is coming up is the Ice Cream Social on June 13th at WeMAR. This will be a car show, ice cream, 50's wardrobe contest and a bake sale.
