Another Spring has come and gone in our lovely New England Town of Beacon Falls, CT. All of us at Pond Spring Village are looking forward to the start of Summer which is traditionally marked by the Memorial Day Holiday. Memorial Day is only a few days away now and the hot weather we are having this week is only a taste of what’s to come! While many of us will be BBQing this weekend and watching a parade or two please do take the time to remember the reason for this Holiday weekend.
Many men and women have given the ultimate sacrifice for our great country. This Memorial day remember those that have lost their lives while protecting our home land. Some of us might decide to visit cemeteries and memorials this weekend, especially of loved ones that have died serving our country. Others might volunteer to place an American flag on each grave in national cemeteries. Many of us will attend a local parade with family and friends. There are many ways to remember the fallen so take the time, even if it is just a moment, to honor those who have died in military service.
