The good news here is that new listings were up as of the end of April over April in 2012 for New Castle County, Delaware Real Estate. Closed and pending sales were also up, although total listing inventory was down 24%!
Buyers are competing for listings which are priced correctly and in move-in condition. But buyers are still fussy about what they consider acceptable. Floor plan awkward? Kitchen needs updating? Small rooms? No central air? "No thanks, we'll sit this one out," they are saying! So sellers beware--there are plenty of buyers out there, but they are convinced that a home must be perfect, or it's a "No go" for them!
