The 37th Annual North River Arts Society Festival of the Arts Saturday and Sunday, 10-5, rain or shine.
The Preview Party is on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Awards announcements at 8:00. $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Cash bar, live entertainment and hors d’oeuvres.
The festival featured a Juried Art, Sculpture and Photography Exhibit, an art sale, silent auction, entertainment including dancers, guitarists, singers, and street entertainers, the Children’s Tent and a Food Tent. 157 Old Main Street, Marshfield. 781-837-8091
The La Salette Shrine's annual Memorial Day weekend carnival is in Attleboro through Monday. The carnival will feature rides, games and food, including the Remix II and the Zipper. Fireworks on Friday night.

Touch A Boat is on Saturday, 10-1 at Iron Horse Park, Hingham Harbor. This free event is an afternoon of fun and information about boating safety. Children can climb aboard Hingham’s Harbormaster and state agency boats. The Coast Guard Auxiliary will offer life jacket fittings and boat safety inspections. There will be knot tying demonstrations, buoy painting, maritime crafts, face painting, bubbles, a Pirate Treasure Hunt and more. Anyone who wears a life jacket to the event will be entered into a drawing to win a boat trip around the harbor with the Harbormaster. Local food will be available. Free.
