I have been loyal to Verizon (Big Red) for over 10 years. I have spent $36,000+ on products and services which is probably an average customer right?
I have friends and collegues who are urging me me to go to Ms. Pink (T-Mobile)
I am looking for input here on experiences with both.
I liked Big Red, but I feel they may have become a bit arrogant in their growth. Despite their Bloatware, and stealing my unlimited data plan, I would consider staying for two new free Galaxy S4's. I would even pay their $249 per phone plus $30 upgrade fee if they sent me 5 $50 gift cards per phone. That way shows I am paying for the phones and the promotion department picks up the tab to keep a long time customer happy. We all know how difficult it is to replace a customer.
I know Ms. Pink had a bad reputation back in 2000. But with the failure of the merger with AT&T they have received an influx of cash and use of AT&T towers. With 5G technology on the near horizon, I think Ms. Pink is sitting pretty with a purse full of cash to get a jump start on 5G, where Big Red will have to rip and replace in their exsisting network to upgrade.
Here are my issues:
- Big Red wants to pull my unlimited data plan
- Big Red wants to charge me a $30 per phone upgrade fee
- On Big Red, My New monthly plan with 12GB data, four lines will cost $275 about what I pay now. Plus $400 for new phones
Ms. Pink will charge me $196 tax included for Unlimited Data plus $460 for two new phones. She will even credit me $100 per phone to cancel my contracts on the kids phones
Apples to Apples a $1800 savings to go Pink! With 2 new phones fo 2 years.
I spent over an hour with customer service at Big Red trying to work out a deal, NO LUCK.
I don't travel internationally, I found T-Mobile coverage is fine in the major markets I visit...It falters a bit in small towns and Arizona mountain areas, but I can live with that for the savings
Please share your experiences with both.
