Ormond Beach Memorial Day Remembrance Service 2013
On Monday, May 27th 2013 the city of Ormond Beach helps remember and honor those who made the supreme sacrifice to save our freedoms with the annual Memorial Remembrance Service. The volunteer Memorial Remembrance Committee and City staff put in weeks of preparation for this event.
The event begins at 9 AM. when Gordon Russell conducts the members of the Daytona Beach Concert Band.
Janet Marnane, US Navy Commander (retired), will serve as the Memorial Remembrance moderator.
The Honorable Ed Kelley, Mayor of Ormond Beach will be there to greet visitors..
The invocation will be rendered by Rabbi Howard Schwartz, US Army Major (retired) and the benediction by Chaplain Willie Branch.
Numerous military color guards, Boy and Girl Scouts and other groups will march into the park.
Commander Theron “TC” Colbert, USNR (“Retired). Commander Colbert will be the guest speaker for the 2013 event. This annual Memorial Remembrance Service takes place at 9 AM on Monday, May 27, 2013 at Rockefeller Gardens.
Rockefeller Gardens Park is located right in front of the Casements, 25 Riverside drive, Ormond Beach Florida at the southeast corner of the Granada Bridge on the Halifax River.
