Summer time in Scottsdale, AZ is a great time to visit if your looking for sun, fun, water play, fine dining, golf and resort pampering. Yep, that's what you can expect when visiting Scottsdale, Arizona. As a resident of Scottsdale, AZ my family and I look forward to StayCations! Here is an example of a StayCation offer we were mailed by the Four Seasons Resort in Scottsdale.
Instead of wrist bands and long lines, why not have drinks and complimentary treats served to you poolside? We invited you to indulge and celebrate summer at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale. The rates they've quoted in their very nice advertisement to our home start at only $139 per night and include $100 in gift cards to be used at the spa, restaurant and bar lounge. Considering their average winter rate is $429 for a similar offer, this is a fantastic StayCation deal for sure!
I also love the offers we receive from the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa. We've stayed at the Westin many times for Summer StayCations and have never been disappointed. We love the restaurants, the pools, the spa, the golf course, the kids clubs, the heavenly beds, yep, this is a favorite for us no doubt! Add to that the fact that they've recently added flowrider, the only spot in Arizona where you can learn to surf, and we should be in StayCation heaven this Summer. The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa offers The Arizona Spa, Agave, Kierland Golf Club, waterpark with lazy river and slides, award winning dining, art, history, music and nearby upscale shopping and entertainment.
If you can handle the heat, which isn't too bad so long as you tee off early, golf is a real steal in Scottsdale during the Summer months. Greens fees are drastically discounted by up to as much as 80% in some cases. If you've followed some of my other blogs you know that my family and I are avid golfers so much so our son won state last year for golf and he's only 5! Our daughter competes in junior LPGA tournaments and my husband and I are working hard at breaking 90 consistently. Otherwise our kids won't want to play with us, ha ha, seriously though, they probably won't. We need to be good so we can all keep the same pace. If you golf, you know its more fun that way.
Nearly every outdoor mall in Arizona includes some sort of children's water play area to keep the kids cool while shopping. Our favorites are the Scottsdale Quarter and Desert Ridge Mall in Phoenix.
