Columbia Festival of the Arts announced today its Black Tie & Neon Brights: A Totally Awesome 80s Gala to be held on Friday, May 31, 2013, at the Howard Community College Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center in Columbia MD. Gala attendees are invited to wear 80’s inspired attire. There will be a silent auction that includes original artwork, entertainment, leisure time and sports items.
The Gala kicks off the 2013 Columbia Festival of the Arts Season Calendar, scheduled from June 14 to 29, 2013, a 16-day, multi-disciplinary arts festival each summer comprised of both free and ticketed events featuring world-class performances, exhibitions, concerts, family activities, master classes, workshops and community dialogues. The Festival brings together the arts community, businesses, local schools, and individuals to create an annual event that shines a spotlight, not only on the arts, but on the Howard County community as a Maryland showplace. The 2013 season is scheduled for June 14 through 29, 2013.
