Dust Devil's in New Mexico. They are just like a tornado.

On my trip yesterday for Desert Sun Home inspections in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

I had the opportunity to see a lot of dust devil's in the desert where I was traveling.

These dust devils can get very, very big.

They can carry winds over 100 miles per hour.

The dust devils are known for their destructive nature.

If you see one of these dust devils coming your way, you better stay out of the way of it if possible.

I have been thrown around in my truck driving down the highway before when getting hit by a dust devil and not even knowing it was there.

They have caused a lot of damage to homes and out buildings when they do hit.

Here is a look at a couple of dust devils I saw when driving yeaterday. They were huge.

Dust devil in desert of New Mexico.

When I saw this one I had to stop and take a picture. It was really big and packing very high winds.

Here is another shot of the dust devils found in the Deserts of New Mexico.

Dust devil in New Mexico Desert.

These dust devil's can travel at about 35 miles per hour. You can't outrun these of your cought in the path of these  destructive dust devils.

So be safe when in New Mexico's Desert. If you see one coming get to a safe place.

Have a great day every one.

Hi Ginny,

These are terrible when in action. But the every day dust is almost some times unbearable to be in.

Have a great day in North Kingstown.

Hey Fred.

Better be glad they don't have these down there in your area. They just might pick up an alligator and deposit it in your back yard. :-)

Have a good day in Tampa.

Clint, I've seen those on the highways outside of El Paso.  Quite a few of the little ones on that day. Not something I see back home in Ohio.

Hi Bliz Team.

I'm not surprised you don't see them in Ohio. They are full fledged tornado's there.

Have a safe day in Warren County Ohio my friends.

Hi Anita,

There are not. They can blow a house away just like a tornado.

They still flip over semi trucks out on the interstate from time to time.

Have a wonderful evening in Warner Robins.

Best, Clint McKie
