What's Really Important?

By
Real Estate Agent with Sibcy Cline Realtors

I've been reminded lately what is really important in my life here on this earth.  Everyday I'm pounded by the world's view of success; money, fame, possessions.  All of these are great if you're goal in life is to "die with the most toys".  My time on earth will be short so the things that really matter are the relationships I build and the love I show to others.  Money cannot buy love, fame cannot win love, and the things I possess cannot bring me lasting happiness.  My prayer this year is that I can use my God-given abilities to show others how important they are to me.  God has been so good to me and my family and I look forward to the day in Heaven when I can thank him and his son Jesus personally.

Something to think about as you plan your next 11 months of 2008.

Rick Callaham - Spokane Real Estate Expert! Nice post, People are important and we usually grow as people when we love others. It's a connection that is lacking in today's society. People have to wake up and start connecting with others and there is great richness in this.

An associate who was also a friend passed away suddenly after a freak accident.  No one expected that!  We are still grieving and in total shock.  My business partner and I have taken over her listings.  We are calling everyone to introduce ourselves and to let them know we will give them the best service we can.  Judy was loved by so many people.  She was flamboyant and full of energy.  We were mesmerized the first time we met her.  We knew who she was and we had been looking forward to finally meeting her.  She was so gracious and always was.  She joined Remax with us  a month prior to her accident and untimely passing.

You are so right - life is way to short.  My best friend in the world died 1 day before her 51st birthday.  I always wonder why I'm still here.  God must have a plan and I haven't fulfilled it yet.  I try to let my friends know how much they mean to me.  I tell them I love them.  They were with me during some dark times and helped me get through.  Life is precious.

Thank you for your post.

Rick:   I agree, there is no greater joy here on earth than the connection we have with others.

Bonnie:   God does have a purpose for each of us and I think it has mostly to do with loving others.

Todd, You are right!  Life is too short and we need to make the best of what and who we have!  We need to be thankful everyday that we wake up!
