Do you think Pinterest is just for fun? Oh, the beautiful images!
Or are you like some, who think it can help you in Google Search results? I'd put myself in the latter group, although it is indeed fun!
Recent changes by Google has speculated major search results changes by SEO experts, to include significant algorithm changes. After researching some of my keywords that I focus on, I've noticed it to be a good thing for me, while noticing my Pinterest Boards popping up at the top few positions for my keywords. So Pinterest must be seen as relevant content.
If you're a Real Estate Agent or in a business that is associated with Real Estate, you need to take a look at Pinterest, again. Heck, if you're in any business you need to take a closer look! Maybe you've already set up an account, made a few boards, pinned a few pins and followed a few pinners, well now, it's suggested that you add it to your business plan unless, you want to be left in the Pinterest dust of others competing for the same business.
You're thinking, geeze another social media network- can I really add that to my plate right now? Sure, I understand, that you have to choose the methods in which you can keep up with, as there are so many between our beloved Active Rain, Google+, Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, etc., and now you want me to add Pinterest, where all I see are a bunch of pretty images!
Believe me, it's more than just a pretty image but, the images certainly are wonderful. Images draw people in instantly, wanting to find out more. On Pinterest, you can pin things that you admire and enjoy along with your business images. For example, I love dogs and you'll find that my "Our Unconditional Friends - Dogs" has almost 300 followers. What do dogs have to do with Real Estate, you ask? Nothing, but it's something I enjoy that I add to my mix of Real Estate Boards, such as Coral Springs Real Estate. I also have a Real Estate collaboration Board where many Real Estate Agents can contribute to a Board that will also appear on your list of Boards too. (If you want to be a part of the collaboration Board just let me know and I can add your name). Of course, in addition, you'll want to set up boards that go with the home, afer all, we sell homes.
What is the proper mix of Boards? Just like anything in Social Media, you don't want to be all just Real Estate business, as you'll want to mix it up.
So if you're thinking that Pinterest is just for fun, I invite you to think again.
