How To Get Your Local Boards on Pinterest Noticed

Written BY: The Barefoot Realtor

Okay, so recently I have had these "marvelous" ideas (ya, I crack myself up, too!) about how to best use Pinterest for my real estate business.  And have even figured out how to drive traffic to them!  (I know, I'm a genius!  LOL  So totally cracking myself up right now).

The local chambers all have lists of their member businesses.  So in my case, I went to each chamber, ie: Glendora Chamber of Commerce and went to their directory.  Most of the listings also have a link to the website and most of the websites are pinnable.  So I made a board for each city and I added some businesses that I knew that were not on the chamber website. The when someone comes into the area that's new, they can go their to find things like self storage, equipment rentals, restaurants, shops, etc.  You get the picture.

And for those of you who aren't aware, when you pin on Pinterest the picture actually leads you back to the original website so the businesses also get free advertising and you look like a total genius!  It's a win, win.

Now for the tricky part... How do you get someone to come to your Pinterestboards and see your genius first hand?  I personally have tweeted it out.  I have a board for Senior Information which is updated daily with news articles specifically for seniors.  I have a board for each of my four main cities and I am getting new people following my boards almost daily just by tweeting about it.  We'll see if I end up getting business leads from this or not.  But at least I know they are getting noticed.

I have not yet tried to put the links on Facebook, LinkedIn or Google+, but I am in the process of thinking over the best way to get that done as well.  (You know how us blondes are... kinda takes a little stewing over.)

If you have any ideas about how to best put the links on the other socials, I would be more than happy to hear them!  For now, have a great evening, and Pin Away!  pinterest
