Mentor Groups

Real Estate Agent with Donovan Home Sales Inc.

I am looking to either join or form a mentor group or mastermind group in the Pinellas County area of Florida, and/or the Long Island area of New York (why two groups? Well, that's a whole other story!).

I know some "homogeneous" groups are formed when they have all taken training or coaching from a particular trainer: Joe Stumph, Brian Buffini, Mike Ferry, Floyd Wickman, Craig Proctor....    That would be good from the stand point of encouraging each other and refining the techniques learned.   Another thought would be to have people from diverse training backrounds, companies and experience levels - to sort of "open up our horizons".

I guess my thoughts and questions at this juncture revolve around, which types of groups work, how to get started and if there are currently any others out there who have been thinking about this topic - nationally and especially locally in my area.

Have you looked into Brian Buffini and his coaching systems? They also come with mentoring groups in the area.

I think that's an excellent idea.  Wonder if we could get something like that working here through AR?  I wouldn't mind working with other successful agents in a mentoring group.

Thanks Al for info, I was thinking about Brian Buffini - he is the only one I haven't taken yet!

Karel I did try the google approach - emailed a few people with no response...

Diane - that would be interesting to try to get a "nationwide" group together - wonder if someone is already doing that?
