Don't burn the house down yet!

I saw on Good Morning America this morning that the number of suspicious home fires is up 50% over this time last year.  It is also interesting the number of these home fires that took place within days of the foreclosure sale date.  Hmm, surely no one would burn down a house to avoid foreclosure, right?

If you have a client that is desperate, talk to them about short sales.  It is not a guarantee, but it is better than jail.

I can definitely relate to this! One of my rental properties once burned down the night before the sherrif's office was set to drag the tenant out- a bit suspicious. Short sales are the way to go for those with no equity, the biggest problem we see is that most Realtors don't know how to do them. Good to know there are other Realtors out there with experience is short sales.   -Sandy
