I read in the Gulfshore Business Daily this morning that the presidents of Bonita Springs-Estero Association of Realtors, Cape Coral Multiple Listing Service Inc. and MLS of Naples Inc. signed an agreement to integrate their three MLS systems.
The merged platform is scheduled to go live in August at the earliest.
This affects over 7,000 real estate professionals in Southwest Florida.
Is this a big deal?
What are the pros and cons to these three databases becoming aggregated?
I am curious if there are any downsides to this or if it adversely affects anyone from either a consumer or business perspective.
Also, do you think that the MLS data from the other surrounding areas like Fort Myers should also be available through this merged platform?
