It is hard for me to believe that the community that we have come to know as King Farm in Rockville just inside the Sam Eig Highway and the new Intercounty Connector has already existed for more than 15 years no. I remember showing my daughter (who is 19) a large dairy farm that was King Farm when she was little and promising her that this very lovely piece of agriculture could not last much longer. King Farm dated back 70 years, ever since W. Lawton King, in 1925, purchased a piece of farmland owned by the Graff family. When King combined it with three adjacent farms into a larger farm, he called it the Irvington Farm. Just when the farm began to be called the "King Farm" is lost to history. Sure enough, the farm and its brown and white dairy cows were gone just before 2000, replaced with an equally wonderful community of townhouses, single family homes, rentals, and condos - high rise and garden style. There are lots of restaurants with a variety of tyles and price ranges, some shops like a yarn store, banks, and grocery stores - just about everything you need to get through a day.
If a collection of townhomes, single families, and condos with parks and ball fields is what you are looking for then click right here! I love showing people my home town!
