A quick trick for fishermen...and women!

For those who use worms to fish with, especially night crawlers, here is an easy trick.

Worms you need to dig and you may not have a place to do so.  Buying worms and night crawlers can be spendy.

So this is what I do...it is sorta the lazy man's way but it works.

When it rains, I go to a small parking lot or on the road in fromt of my home when the traffic is low and I take an ice cream bucket and a dust pan.  The worms will be crawling on the road.  Very hard to pick up with your fingers.  So, use the dust pan to just bump the worm lightly and it will curl up.  Then with a quick sweeping motion with the dust pan you can pick the worm up with very little effort and no injury to the worm.

I get all my night crawlers this way.  After you have collected enough, put them in a larger container with fresh soil or worm bedding and place in a cool place until you go fishing.

Although I don't fish very much, digging worms was one fo the things I ddin't like about getting ready.

Well, I can see how that could work fairly well.  You  may get a bit wet, but you will dry.
