So it seems that I have now officially settled into my new (new again, being that I moved back into my old home in Windsor) home. Everything is now unpacked, have let everyone know that I am now living back in Windsor, and that I am continuing my career in the real estate industry. This time however not with RE/MAX, but with Southwestern Ontario’s largest independent brokerage, Deerbrook Realty Inc.
The past 2 weeks have been very hectic, trying to get everything in order. Its one thing to move to a different brokerage WITHIN the same city, its another to move to a different brokerage in a NEW city. All my marketing material had to be changed; business cards, flyers, websites, signs and others. I am now all caught up (I think), and can begin focusing on what I do best, helping other buy and sell homes, but this time in Windsor, not Toronto.
Windsor is where I was born and raised, and from what I’ve learned, being that I am still considered a rookie in the real estate game (I have only been a Realtor for a year), using your sphere of influence and your personal network is a great way to start and make a name for yourself. So far, it has been working, having already started working with a couple of clients. Funny thing is most are looking to sell there home in Windsor, with only one of my new clients looking to buy a home in Windsor.
Nonetheless, I am happy to be back doing what I love doing, buying and selling homes in Windsor. Happy to be back with my friends and family in a city where everyone knows someone that you know! Here’s to the future!
