So there's a new Internet Explorer now, and a new group of people who don't want to download it. But wait! We have to download it, we're Realtors, our MLS requires it, oh how I wish I could just use Firefox, or Flock, or Seamonkey, or Netscape (ok, fine, call BS on the Netscape). Well you can. And it's not that hard. The reason your MLS only works with IE is because it has an extension to search your browser for a tag identifying it as Internet Explorer, if it doesn't see the tag, it doesn't let you in the site. There are plugins available for any browser to add that tag, they're called User Agent Switchers, I wrote my own, but Firefox has a very popular one here http://chrispederick.com/work/user-agent-switcher/ , it's free to download and installs automatically in a minute or two. Instructions on how to use it are available on http://lifehacker.com/. If you're using a different browser, just Google "User Agent Switcher" - there are plenty of them out there. Haven't seen any that do IE7 yet, but IE6 should be fine for now, and the more popular ones will most likely be updated when necessary. Join the "I don't like Internet Explorer" revolution.
So of course, my first realestate blog has nothing to do with realestate, oh well.
