On May 17th, my Christain Rock Band "J.O.E. (Jesus Owns Everything) played at Harvest Church in Dothan, AL There were 15 bands vying to be the opening act for Colton Dixon (former American Idol star). Altho we didn't win (they were looking for a younger type band to match the style of the headliner - not MY opinion, but stated in Rules), we did get to meet and hear several other area bands that we haven't heard yet. The bands came from several places not too close by, as well as local bands from Dothan and Enterprise. From Panama City, Florida (2 hours South of here) to Columbus, Georgia area (2 hours N.E.) to Montgomery (MY hometown and 2 hours N.W.). The winner was a young band from Andalusia, a really small town of 5,000-8,000 people.
Fun time and big crowd and new friends.
