Our little downtown office consists of 5 people who not only love real estate, but we also love being able to give back to the community. Since we've moved our office to 216 E Congress, we've had the chance to do something really special during the local monthly festival, Second Saturdays Downtown.
Each month, when we open our doors, we'll have a local charity on hand. We kicked it off this past weekend with Honor Flight Southern Arizona.
If you haven't heard of Honor Flight - in it's simplest form, it's our way of saying thank you to the hundreds of thousands of men and women who fought in World War II. This is a nationwide network of supports who donate their money and time to fly these veterans to Washington, DC to see the World War II memorial.
This past weekend, with Honor Flight Southern Arizona as our guest, we invited people to stop in and sign a Thank You banner that is hung at Tucson International Airport for the arrival and departure of each flight.
We also invited everyone to write a short note to our veterans. These letters (and amazing drawings from the kids) are placed in a Mail Call envelope that each vet receives on the flight home.
We were incredibly humbled listening to some of the stories family members told us about their loved ones who served. We loved having the opportunity to do something for this amazing generation.
