Ben Kinney gives his opinion about the new market. He poses the question, Are We in a Fake Market? In the clip below, hear Ben explain some of the new changes and how agents should not forget everything they have learned in their years in real estate.

We are in a real market, we just don't know how long it will last with the looming economic down turn that will be caused when Obamacare is fully implemented.  It has been reported that the insurance premiums will rise by as much as 88%.

Sounds like an interesting topic.  I agree with Ben.  We should always remember the basics of real estate and networking.

Great presentation!  I am new to real estate and I always appreciate to learn (or be reminded) what is important.  I know that networking and marketing are very important but it is hard to know what will work without spending a lot of money first.  I had a good outlook and I will keep on trying!

Somehow, even if a post looks interesting, and I am tempted to read it, I take just one look at what appears to be a steroid-impregnated muscular forearm being used as a profile picture... and am sent scurrying off.  I guess it takes all kinds.

Roger in #1:  What a way to try and substantiate your comment about Obama care increasing premiums by 88%.  Using the phrase "it has been reported."  LOL.  You want this post to be about Ben's system, or you want to rip and tear about politics.  Please choose just one.

By the way, IMSD folks... having this "Chad" fellow practically screaming his pitch in the process of welcoming Ben... what a great way to bring me to "bail" before even getting to Ben.  Funny, but I would not have connected screaming with "being geeky."  Just behind the times, I guess.

I've watched a lot of clips on AR that have enticed me to join something so I can learn and earn. This clip isn't one of them. You lost me in the first 30 seconds of the full clip.

As far as the components of supply and demand, we are in a fairly odd and fake market that is forcing home prices up due to a perceived higher demand.  When in fact demand is fairly stagnant.  Read my recent post on the subject on how the market corrects and how and why equity is coming back.

Jay, I am guessing that you are in a very "different" market, or you've got your head in the sand.

In many, many markets, there is not "perceived" demand... it is very real.  Multiple offers, sales above listed price.  Just because that same activity is not prevalent in your market area... it does not mean that it "must" not be true in other markets.

Stagnant demand?  Wow.  Perhaps you are just not suited for real estate?

Back to basics! This surely is a market that looks lucrative for outsiders - and true, Ben, I believe, it's a fake market!

Great question, I too have suspected that this may not be the end of the difficult times.

Difficult times are not over...just different times.

It could be a fake market change, it could be a great market change and it could be signs of things to come.

This is why we believe we always need to stay educated, aware and bringing the best to our clients no matter the market conditions.
