Oh Boy, Cupid is alive and well in the North Georgia Mountains!!! My rental business has been "kicking it" with folks that want romantic getaways in Big Canoe! It makes my heart go "pitter pat" when I think of all the people who want to come up here to be warm and fuzzy. How many of these cute little Big Canoe Cabins have hosted marriage proposals, baby announcements, or 25 year anniversaries?? There are probably a few other rendezvous that may go unmentioned, but what happens in Big Canoe, stays in Big Canoe. However for the most part people want to bring the ones they love to a place they love. This "lovin' feeling" brings about enchanting memories of the good times spent here. I have couples that revisit from 15 years ago and end up buying their own chunk of Big Canoe real estate because it makes them feel young again!
Rentals are a blessing! I'm always speaking of Big Canoe since it's my stomping ground but this can be anywhere. Convince your clients to spend a weekend in one of our Big Canoe rentals where you sell and soon they may be back again to buy! Find a person you trust with great, clean, romantic rentals and have their number handy because when you get a client that just wants to try out an area, it's your job to make that area the very best it can be!! If you really want to earn points arrange for some fresh flowers at the rental home with your card.
It reminds me of that movie "Funny Farm" where all the people in town are paid to act nice and look pleasant! But seriously, you are the one who knows your area best! Take pride in that and show them all that your area has to offer. Greet them with some local delicacy or take them to your favorite restaurant and make sure they they order a sure thing! If they are not in love with your area, they will be in no time!!
PS. Make a hasty exit after dinner so they can head on home to enjoy the rest of the evening!!
