I visited with “For Sale By Owner”s today, stopped by a home where I had met the owner on a prior visit. We talked and she gave me a tour of her home. As we were looking at her garden, which she so proudly showed me, I couldn’t help but notice a beautiful plant called the Moon Plant. It has these gorgeous flowers which bloom at dusk, beaming as white and bright as the moon, only to die the next day. It was a gorgeous plant and she asked if I wanted some seeds. I said I would love some and she put some in a bag and I proceeded with my visit.
As I left her home, I thought how ironic it was that I stopped by her home today and she gave me these seeds. I have been listening to many great motivational tapes, one being Jim Rohn, a wonderful inspirational speaker and motivator. He spoke of the Parable of the Sower and how it applies to the Law of Averages. It’s a wonderful little story and it spoke loudly to me. You see, this morning, I had made a personal promise to myself to begin sowing the seeds God gave me and become the person that I know I am in my business and my personal life. I want to become the successful business person I know I can and will be, and the successful role model for my children, that they may see the success I achieve, and know it is achievable for them too.
So I will take these seeds and begin to sow my garden as I sow my success. As the seeds become plants and they begin to grow, my garden will flourish and I will have beautiful flowers blooming every night, only to fade away and re-bloom again the next day; a never ending cycle of regrowth. It's the same as the regrowth in my business and my life. It’s never too late to sow your seeds for success. It’s only too late if you never begin the journey.
