It’s a Small World After All! (This must be my Disney-themed week)
I tuned in to listen live to Margaret Rome’s weekly radio program today because I’m usually not able to listen at Noon Sundays (EST). And Carra Riley was going to be her guest so definitely wanted to listen.
Have you listened to Margaret’s radio show? Well, let me tell you what a small world it can be.
Carra Riley can dance circles around the social media crowd. She offers a wealth of knowledge about how to make your presence known, whether it’s on Google+ or Facebook or any of the others.
Margaret Rome does Real Estate the Rome Way and in fact has written a book by the same name.
Put them together and you have a synergy of cooperation and giving.
And it is a small small world. One of Carra’s Social Media buddies whom she met on Facebook called in. And then, Tim Kinzler, Keller Williams Boca Raton called in. He had connected with Carra on Facebook and Foursquare as well.
I think Tim had been in the area near Carra and looked up a restaurant using Foursquare. There it was.. Carra’s review on Foursquare.
I know Tim from the Women’s Council of Realtors here. He doesn’t know it but because of a story he told, I decided that this Foursquare thing wasn’t as silly as I thought.
If memory serves, Tim is on Foursquare and through his being active on it found a new client
.
It is a small world, especially with Social Media. You can make friends and keep in touch with those you already know.
The key to making the most of your time
on Social Media....Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, Pinterest or whatever is about to pop next into our culture...
is to do what it says.. be social, be active on it, and for sure, don’t just sit back and lurk.
