Another bad roof inspection. This contractor needs more training.
It is becoming very popular with home owners that have a new roof installed to get a roof inspection before the final payment is made to the contractor.
This actually makes very good sense. You want the job to be correct. This is why you get a "Trust but Verify Inspection".
This roof was completed by the contractor. Or so they thought.
The home owner who wanted to tell me who installed the roof, I stopped them before they could tell me.
I told them it doesn’t matter who installed the roof I was there to inspect it.
Keep in mind this is not the same contractor that did the last roof I did an inspection of.
Take a look at what I found when inspecting this
"DONE ROOFING JOB"
As you can see they “Forgot the even install the boot for the water heater exhaust.
Then there are other issues for the roofer. They need to learn how to cut the panels properly and then seal and flash them correctly as well.
This here shot we have a vent for the attic that was cut very nicely, but it as not sealed and the cap seemed to be missing.
Duct tape Really?
The fireplace stack was really bad. Take a look.
This roofing company has along way to go to get to the status as a good roofing installer.
Remember if having work done by a contractor.
Get a "trust but verify inspection" You will be glad you did.
Have a great day every One.
