A Note from the Sellers
When we were hired to teach for Liberty schools in 2002, we had just a few months to move from Iowa to Missouri. This was our first house and it met all of our wants: three bedrooms, two bathrooms, 2-car attached garage, and a shady yard. At the time, our agent showed us lots of properties on the other side of I-35, but most of them lacked a basement and included HOA fees. We were glad we decided to purchase a home in Liberty because it is such a convenient location.
Our bedrooms and basement have changed a lot over the years. Since moving in, we have had two children. The basement evolved from a man cave with a full bar into a family room and office. The bedrooms evolved from master and guest to parents and kids. Our family enjoys having the kitchen, dining room and living room all ajoined – and in the summertime the patio is like our second dining room.
Our doube garage is a nice feature which is not available on many other houses in our neighborhood. During the winter we enjoy getting into warm, dry cars with no ice-scraping before work. During the summertime we often park the cars outside and use the garage for home improvement projects. We also use the garage to store all of our sports equipment, tools, holiday decorations, etc.
When we move, we will miss our neighbors the most. They have been so kind to us since we moved in as newlyweds. Some of them are older couples who treat our children like their grandchildren. Others are young families with kids who play with our kids after school. When we go on vacation they get our mail, water our plants, set out the trash, etc. We love access to the Manor Hill playground and walking trail.
We have enjoyed spending the first decade of our lives together in Liberty and we have fond memories of our first house. However, now that we both work outside of Liberty, we would like to move to lessen our commute. We hope you enjoy the house and yard as much as we have!
