Is Your Real Estate Newsletter Focused On Consumer Needs?

One question that I get several times a month is who "does" my real estate newsletters and is this a service that can be purchased for other real estate markets.

The questions mostly come from real estate agents from outside of the Tallahassee housing market, and I'm flattered that they like how they are done.

Currently, we have nearly 5,000 people who have chosen to subscribe to the Tallahassee Real Estate Newsletter, and we're hoping to double the list over the next twelve months. But as far as the questions go, this is how each edition of our newsletters is done:

No Cheesecake Recipe In This Real Estate Newsletter

Real Estate NewslettersSeveral years ago, I decided to publish a home sales newsletter with the intent of being a solid source of information relating to real estate trends in Tallahassee.

No matter which service I found, they were filled with the types of articles that I would never read. I was not looking at spamming people to death, I was looking to inform. Some of the "industry leading" real estate newsletters even bragged about providing world-class recipes for our readership.

Thus I determined that I would need to author my own newsletter, and I decided to design it from the ground up. Being comfortable with MS Office products, I chose Microsoft Publisher and purchased a book that showed me how to Use Microsoft® Publisher to Plan, Write and Design Great Real Estate Newsletters. Additionally, I use Microsoft Excel to store my long-term data and to create the graphs that provide the visuals for our reports.

When you subscribe to the Tallahassee Real Estate Newsletter, I will guarantee you this: You will get an analytical view of current trends in the Tallahassee real estate market. If you have a stake in our market, it will help you make better decisions. If you are from another market area, it will likely give you some good ideas as to why things are happening in your market and will show you a methodology for tracking your local market conditions.

A Home Sales Newsletter Should Be Tightly Focused

The focus of my home sales newsletter is on the Tallahassee real estate market.

I occasionally cover national and regional real estate issues, but my specific intent is to provide the information that my readers need to have an advantage in the Tallahassee housing market.

While the content is fairly analytical, I try to provide explanations for each chart and graph that I use. I show trending information, the type of stuff decision makers need to know.

Over the years, the Tallahassee Real Estate Newsletter has evolved to a monthly publication (typically 9 pages), nested within single page "Weekly Specials" that offer one quick view of current market conditions.

Our newsletter is delivered, free of charge, to our subscriber's’ email inbox, every Monday morning before 9.

If you think our newsletter will help you better understand the real estate market, I encourage you to subscribe to the Tallahassee Real Estate Newsletter (and we look forward to any feedback you feel like providing).
