Even On A Rainy Day Mother Nature Is Wondrous

Sunday Morning Stroll Mason Neck State Park

We weren't expecting rain this morning for our Sunday morning walk in Mason Neck State Park.  Even with clouds and a light rain still coming down Mother Nature was putting on a show.  You can't help but be in a better frame of mind after watching butterflies flit from flower to flower looking for nectar.

Now it's back to reality of paperwork for upcoming closings and working on a new website.  Wish I could spend a few more hours just hanging out with the butterflies instead.

Hope you have a great week ahead.

Sometimes it is the overcast rainy skies which provide the best pictures.  The vivid colors of the flowers and butterfly in this shot are really nice.

Hi Cindy,

Terrific picture of the flowers and butterfly after the rain. I love that time as the rain makes everything smell good and very clean. Thanks for sharing.

Great shot and just a beautiful photo...alas, the nectar flow is coming to an end, and we have had to put syrup on our bee hives.

Cindy, that is a great picture.  That's a great eye.  Don't you love to be surprised by nature?  It is always a treat for me.
