Making Art Gives a Mental Break from Real Estate Concerns

In particular digital photography and watercolor painting have been ways for me to release thoughts about meetings, deadlines and writing addendums.  It may seem like a lot of effort to start sketching images for a watercolor piece, but I recently found that it just gets much easier with practice.  That's true about many things in life!

First, start with a subject for your sketch.  You may decide to pick your pet as a subject.  Just pick something you like!

If you would like to keep it simple, just focus on a certain area of the photo to sketch!

The main thing is simply start at the beginning, and see where it takes you!

(My next blog will offer a sample watercolor piece based on a digital photo.)
