Things to do with kids on the Crystal Coast
Everyday on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina, I hear folks say, “There is nothing to do with kids here”. Well, with my new series of “Things to do with Kids on the Crystal Coast”, I plan to prove them all wrong!
Every day, for 100 days, I will share one idea that will keep the kids busy and having fun on the Crystal Coast. Sure we have the beach, but we have so much more to offer….. You just need to know where to look. Many of my suggestions will cost absolutely nothing, and you just can’t beat FREE!
Things to do with kids on the Crystal Coast
1. Head to the Atlantic Station in Atlantic Beach. Directly across from Bojangles (where they have the best sweet tea), you will find a trail head for the Hoop Pole Creek Trail. The trail includes natural paths and boardwalks combined that lead to a sandy area that offer some of the most beautiful views available on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina. The trail is only one mile long so that little legs will not get too tired. Make sure you take your camera along, you will want to capture the views as well as the birds and other coastal wildlife you may see along the way. Oh, and don't forget the bug spray!
