CANADA DAY AT THE WATERLOO REGION MUSEUM
Monday July 1, 2013 9:30am - 5:00pm, Waterloo Region museum
Admission to the Waterloo Region Museum is free on Canada Day, with activities designed to appeal to the whole family. Take a leisurely stroll through the picturesque living history village. Music lovers can enjoy music on the gazebo with the Grand River Brass, experience turn of the century music in the historic church and Grand River New Horizons music on the Willow Green. Feeling energetic? Participate in fun games like croquet and horseshoes. Bring a picnic for the family and enjoy the outdoors or take advantage of the BBQ lunch available for purchase.

If crowds are any indication this is Waterloo’s favourite Canada Day celebration location. Spirit of the West and Canadian Indie rockers Holllerado are the featured performers at this year’s celebration. Show off your national pride, enjoy great food, family activities and children's entertainment at this family friendly venue. The day will be capped by one of the best fireworks display in the region!
CANADA DAY DOWNTOWN KITCHENER
Monday July 1, 2013 6:00 pm - 10:30 pm, Kitchener City Hall.
For the second year in a row, Kitchener’s Canada Day celebrations take over the downtown core, with plenty of good eating from locals Bread Heads, Yeti Café and JackBurger. This year features live entertainment from Juno Award winning Dragoneet, The Stanfeilds, hailing from Nova Scotia, and Kitchener's very own Wayfarer, Teen Violence and The Bosswich. Did I mention the Beer tent?
Fun and excitement kick off at 6pm in front of Kitchener City Hall and ends an amazing display of fireworks and pyrotechnics right off the roof of Kitchener City Hall around 10:15
