What's Your Reality?

The lead-up to my first showing was a thrilling, exhilarating, amazing experience and then . . .

Client Perspective Out House

The buyer arrived, took one look at the property and I knew it was not going to work - not even with lots of TLC!

I had the opportunity to show that property a couple more times to different potential buyers.  Reactions varied greatly and I heard it was sold in due time.

As I think back to my days in the corporate world when people would say 'reality must be seen through the eyes of the beholder' I realize how very true that is on so many levels.

We don't all view everything the same way and I'm thankful for that.  While sometimes we believe we've found the "perfect" home for a client, it has to be viewed that way in their reality.

The same goes for someone selling their home.  If we can't or won't see their reality, how can we best represent their interests?

Differing perspectives help us overcome obstacles when we delve in together and respect not only ideas but also approaches.  As a Realtor, I appreciate the chance to step outside my reality to share in others; if only for a short time.

Afterall, our tomorrow is the sum of our yesterdays - at least that's how I see it.

You'll find additional resources at my website aimed at helping you and loved ones find ideas and resources we can all use while going through life's journey.

Showing you the best of Sarasota!

I now approach each home with absolutely no expectations of my buyer's reactions.  The things that I thing add value to the home is usually the thing they don't like and I have learned to keep my mouth shut too.  People have different views and comfort levels and I just keep showing until they walk through the door and say "This is it!"

Let's foresee the possibilities . and get results!

Thank you for stopping by and commenting.  Like you, I contain my thoughts unless I know the client well (i.e. we've looked at a lot of homes together).  I even had one couple who thanked me for remaining impartial and letting them discover their own feelings about the homes we looked at.

There's something very special about that "This is it!" moment.  I'm thrilled whenever I get to see it.
