 VILLA PARK CA REAL ESTATE SALES JUMP 166 PERCENT IN MAY 2013 

Month over month, there was little change in the number of homes for sale in Villa Park, California. However, May 2013 real estate listings remained 25% lower than the active listing figures documented one year earlier. Given the recent surge in home prices and luxury home purchases, I would expect to see much more seller activity in Villa Park. This leads me to believe that Villa Park homeowners are reluctant to make a move and take on new, or additional debt. 

As with active listings, pending home sales showed little movement between April and May, 2013, as well as year over year.  

In May 2013, the majority of real estate sales in Villa Park, California closed at or below the original list price. Given the current market conditions, this was most likely the result of overly aggressive pricing. Real estate sales also jumped 166% on a month to month basis, and rose by 60%, compared to one year ago.
