Carroll County Farmers Market, Open on Saturday Mornings

The White Rabbit

 

The Carroll County Farmers Market, in Westminster, Maryland, is a great place to spend Saturday mornings during the summer. The market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday.

The Carroll County Farmers Market is located at the Agricultural Center.  Just follow the signs to the Ag Center.  Each week, there are 50 or more vendors offering fruits, vegetables, baked good, farm raised meats, egg and a large number of handcrafted items.

I like to sample the sweets and Dolores checks the jewelry items. Both of us love the wonderful fruit pies that are available. Dolores slices the pies and freezes the individual slices for quick future desserts.

The cafeteria is open for breakfast and lunch.

Parking is free and there is no charge for admission.

When we leave the Carroll County Farmers Market, Dolores always wants to do a little shopping at The White Rabbit, the Thrift Shop at the Carroll Medical Center. The White Rabbit is open on Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m. The location is 550 Washington Road, Westminster, MD. Call 410-871-1940 for additional information. What a clever idea of cutting a pie up and freezing it.  We buy a small pie and it is just right for the two of us.  Next time I am getting a big one, and freezing it  Thanks A

 The White Rabbit sounds like the Little Exchange Shop from Dayton Ohio I cannot remember if it is a resale shop but all proceeds go the Miami Valley Hospital there!
