Things you love about your town: Augusta is a beautiful place to live. We have loved being close to the river front area of downtown Augusta and the area nightlife. There is a wide variety of shopping and stores available. Healthcare access is fabulous because of the close proximity to Georgia Regents University hospital.
Tell us about your neighborhood: National Hills West is a great place to live. It is tucked back in to it's own area, with well manicured lawns and common area. It is a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors who look after each other. It feels very safe, even when you come home late at night. You also have access to the National Hills swim club if you choose to join.
Where do you love to eat? There are lots of restaurants close to the area. Some of our favorites are Veracruz, Carrabbas, Beamie's and Rhinehart's.
Nearby grocery stores and other conveniences: Kroger, Publix, Walgreens, CVS, and a Fresh Market are all right around the corner!
What did you love about your property when you bought it? We bought this home as a place for our sons to live while attending MCG (now Georgia Regents Univ). We chose this area due to the close proximity to downtown and the University, and we knew that this would be a safe area for them to live. While there were other condos on the market at that time, the floor plan of this condo was perfect, with a large living area and garage parking. Our oldest son would sublet the condo out for the Master's tournament for a nice return!
Estimate of your monthly utility bills: Gas and electric combined average between $110-$150/month, depending on the season. HOA fees of $140/month pay for the trash pickup, lawn maintenance and water/sewage. Phone and cable/satellite bills depend on which company you choose.
