WHERE IS THE POET SECTION OF BALDWIN NY?
The Poet Section of Baldwin New York is located just north of the middle of the town boarding the Village of Rockville Centre. It is boarded on the south by St. Luke's Place and on the north Stowe Avenue. On the east side is Twain Street and on the west is Wadsworth Place.
WHAT'S THE NEIGHBORHOOD LIKE?
The Poet Section of Baldwin is eclectic. The homes are an array of colonials, cape cods, tudors and ranches. Most are single family dwellings with a few two family homes mixed in. Most of the homes were built in the 1920's, 30's and 40's. The homes are well maintained and the pride of ownership is clearly evident.
WHAT MAKES THE POET SECTION OF BALDWIN SPECIAL?
The Poet Section of Baldwin is very close to Sunrise Highway and the Southern State Parkway. This affords an easy driving commute to either Brooklyn or Queens and Suffolk County. The Long Island Railroad is close by and the commute to mid-town Manhattan is on the desirable Babylon line. The Baldwin Library is close by as is the shopping district of Baldwin and the Baldwin Historical Museum. The children from the Poet Section will attend Plaza Elementary, Baldwin Middle School and Baldwin High School.
