The Old Canterbury Section of Rockville Centre New York is located on the northwest side of the Village. It is boarded by DeMott Avenue on the south and Columbia Road on the north. On the east side is the Rockville Links Golf Club and on the west is North Village Avenue.
WHAT'S THE NEIGHBORHOOD LIKE?
The homes in the Old Canterbury Section of Rockville Centre New York are some of the loveliest in the Incorporated Village. They are mostly Colonials and Tudors. Most of the homes were built in the early to mid 1900's and feature the detailing of fine homes of that period mixed with the most up to date amenities. The homes are single family dwellings and the impeccable maintenance is obvious. The streets are tree lined and some feature the old style lamp lights.

This section of Rockville Centre is in the Incorporated Village and thus has Village electric, water, police force and sanitation. The Links eighteen hole Golf Club is within walking distance and Molloy College and Mercy Medical Center are less than two miles away. Hempstead Lake and Hempstead Lake State Park are also within walking distance. The Village is a mecca of Zagat rated restaurants and wonderful boutiques. The Long Island Railroad and access to mid-town Manhattan is less than three miles and the Atlantic beaches are a fifteen minute drive away. Old Canterbury children will attend Hewitt Elementary, Southside Middle and Southside High School.
