Here is a good list of Fireworks Displays if you are going to be in or around Kansas City Missouri this Independence Day and are looking for a place to celebrate!
Independence:
The annual Fourth of July Celebration will be held at the Mormon Visitors Center located at 937 W Walnut Street and is a free event.
Arrive at 7 p.m. to hear a concert by American Rhythm at the Community of Christ Auditorium. For the big event, bring your lawn chair or blanket, find a place to sit and enjoy listening to "The Spirit of Independence Community Concert Band play patriotic music before, during and after the display.
The fireworks diplay will begin at 9:30.
Sugar Creek:
Starting at 11 a.m. enjoy the annual 4th of July Parade.
Evening festivities begin at The Mike Onka Center, starting with music at 8:00 p.m.
You can park on Sterling Avenue and take a shuttle to the center. At 9:15 the Heritage Philharmonic will play the National Anthem and the Fireworks Display will begin at 9:30.
Buckner:
Beginning at 4 p.m. today, come to Heiser Park for a carshow, concessions, and a band. Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy the Fireworks Display at around 9 p.m.
Jackson County Display at Longview Lake in Lee's Summit:
Rumored to be the largest display in the county! Come on out to Longview Lake at 6 p.m. to start your Independence Day Celebration wih Nashville Recording Artist, Blackjack Billy, watch some skydiving, play some carnival games and compete in a water balloon contest. There will also be a tribute to all active duty and military veterans.
Concessions will be available. No pets, coolers or grills will be allowed. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs for the show.
Kauffman Stadium:
Royals will be having a fireworks display after Wednesdays game. The game is at 7:10 p.m. against the Cleveland Indians. This is not a free event.
Blue Springs:
Starting at 6:30 at Peve Stadium located at 2000 N.W. Ashton Drive at the Blue Springs High School. Enjoy a free concert by Tyler Farr and 6 Degrees West. Concessions will be availalbe. The fireworks display will begin around 9:30. In case of rain, the event will be July 5th.
KC Riverfest 2013:

Information: 816-561-7555 Date: July 4, 2013 Time: 4-11 p.m. Admission: $5 after 3:00 p.m. Free prior to 3:00 p.m.
Enjoy great rock, alternative, country and ragtime music, delicious food, carnival rides and games, and one of the largest fireworks shows in the area. The festival also includes a special children's activities in the Kids Zone.
