A couple of rules about the grant.

The grant can only be used for

• down payment assistance
• closing costs
• and participant must make less than 90K per year
• Participant must qualify for a loan program that the bank provides
• Must live in the home for a minimum of 5 years without recourse.

How does the 5K work

This grant is a matched grant.  For every $1.00 you have in your bank account they will match your dollar with $3.00 up to $5000.00. It takes about 45 days to close a home with a grant so be prepared for the extra time, but it just might be worth it for you.

Loan Rules:

You must comply with all loan rules and regulation in order to qualify to participate with this loan.  When funds for the loan have depleted enough then they will announce when they are opening it up to a broader range of people to acquire the grant who qualify and not just first time home buyers.

What can this grant be used for?

This grant is available for residential homebuyers only.  First time home buyers ( for the time being) and the participant must live in the house for a minimum of 5 years or the grant will have to be paid back.
