The Disney Streets Neighborhood is part of the larger Midway Hills Neighborhood in North Dallas. This well established neighborhood with mature trees, comes with a touch of whimsy in its street names. In the 1950s Walt Disney was preparing to open Disneyland. At the same time, the developers of this charming neighborhood were selecting street names. Abracadabra! They chose Sleepy Lane, Candlelight Drive, Wonderland Trail, Aladdin Drive, Pinocchio Drive, Cinderella Lane, Dwarfs Circle, Snow White Drive, and Fantasia Lane.
This neighborhood is bordered by Royal Lane to the south, Northaven Road on the north, Midway road on the east and Rosser Road on the west.
When I ask Disney Street Homeowners what they love most about their neighborhood I often hear the following responses: lot size, location, Withers Elementary School, close to parks, close to Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), and close to shopping.
Residents have easy access to I-35, I-635, I-75, Preston Road, Inwood Road and Midway Road. The neighborhood is 9 miles from Downtown Dallas and the Dallas Arts District, 5 miles from North Park Center, 4 miles from the Dallas Galleria, 6 miles from Love Field Airport and 18 miles from DFW International Airport.
What are the homes in the Disney Street Neighborhood like in size, condition and style?
Popular architectural styles built in this neighborhood include California Contemporary and many variations on Ranch style architecture. Lot sizes range from .33 acre to .41 acre. Homes are predominantly 3- bedrooms, with 2-3.5 baths, with two car garages. Many of the homes have been remodeled or completely renovated.

This corner is also home to more than 15 restaurants, Larry North's Gym, Barnes and Noble, trendy shops and the necessities like Dougherty's Compounding Pharmacy and the Cobbler Shoe Repair. Preston Road and Forest Lane has three additional grocery stores, including Whole Foods, Natural Grocer and Tom Thumb. Residents are also within a few miles of the boutiques and restaurants on Lovers Lane and the shopping at the corner of Preston and Northwest Highway.
