In a 2006 post, Todd Wilkinson stated that "a big and bold vision known as the Atlanta BeltLine Initiative, which would create a 22- mile ribbon of interconnected parks, trails, light-rail routes, and landscape friendly development encircling downtown. By the time the BeltLine nears fruition in a quarter-century, upwards of $3 billion will have been spent on revitalizing the city's historic railroad corridor and adjacent neighborhoods, some of which have been regarded as blighted eyesores and symbols of urban decay for generations. In the way it proposes to link park-making with new transit, economic development, and community revitalization, the initiative also has national significance, shaping up as one of the most important pioneering park efforts of the 21st century."
All over Atlanta - the Beltline brings excitement. In fact, the future is NOW! Here we are mid-way through 2013 - a full seven years later. The Beltline is no longer a only a dream - many sections have become a reality. Imagine yourself living in Howell Station and enjoying proximity to the great park called the Beltline.
Let's focus on Howell Station - just minutes from Downtown, Midtown and Buckhead - a wonderful place to live, a true Intown community and a great place to be.
A National Register community since 1997, Howell Station offers a special mix of homes similar to many other Intown and Westside neighborhoods. Some are ready to move in tomorrow and some are canvases waiting to be painted.
The history of Howell Station is fascinating and the Howell Station Neighborhood Association Website offers a complete overview. You are invited to read an ODAT Realty post from last year Howell Station Historic District Live Intown and Love It.
For more information about seeing the wonderful assortment of homes on the Westside, from DuPont Commons to Underwood Hills to DeFoors Ferry or even Berkley Park, please contact us at Atlanta Homes ODAT Realty or call our 24/7 message line 404-355-1212 and we will call you back as soon as possible.
