Beautiful Time of Year in the Flathead Valley!

While I am not a fan of consuming canola oil, it sure is pretty when we have fields of yellow to look at this time of year.

We locals start to whine this time of year, but at the same time all the tourists are good for the local economy. Rv's are going through town to get to locations in the valley and Glacier National Park. Costco is jammed, especially right before the 4th of July. We went from spring to HOT! 90's this week but the whole west is in a heat wave. AC is not a requirement to live in this valley since it normally cools off into the 40's at night, but it is sure nice when we have 5 days in and above 90 degrees and it is only cooling off to 60 at night. I worked out at Crossfit Flathead this morning at 6:45am, it was already super hot. Glad it was a weight lifting day and we didn't have to run around and sweat even more than we did.

Horse rides are early in the day as is anything outside in the sun. Hay fields are being cut through out the valley and a bumper crop it is this year!

Try cooling off in one of the many lakes we are so blessed to have in this valley and enjoy the long holiday weekend.

Cary Jo, I can understand why the locals would like to keep this place to themselves, however tourist dollars can really help an area.
