Looking for fireworks in Colorado for the 4th? The wildfires in the state have certainly put a damper on the community’s mood for the upcoming holiday, but there are still several firework shows around the state to enjoy this year.
Denver has many firework displays included in other events this year. On July 3rd Civic Center Park will be hosting a firework show synchrized with a symphony performance.
Most of these Denver events are taking place on the actual holiday; here are some fun ideas of where to spend your 4th of July. Coors Field will have fireworks display following the Rockies vs. Dodgers game. Elitch Gardens has a fireworks display planned after dark. Dick’s Sporting Goods Park will have a fireworks show after the Rapids game. Sports Authority Field at Mile High will have a fireworks show incorporating their jumbo screen following the Outlaws game.
Arvada will have a fourth of July festival in Olde Town Arvada which will include a car show, children’s area and a fireworks display at dusk. There will also be a large fireworks show at Stenger Sports Fields. The fields will open at 3pm for picnicking, and will have food and beverages sold on site. The fireworks will being at 9pm.
The City of Aurora will be hosting its annual Fourth of July Spectacular at the Aurora Municipal Center. Patriotic music will begin at 6pm and fireworks will begin at 9:30pm.
Black Hawk will have its annual Black Hawk Boomtown Fireworks show, located at the intersection of Black Hawk St and Main St. This has been said to be the biggest and best fireworks display in Colorado.
Wright Kingdom, CU and The City of Boulder will be hosting Ralphie's Independence Day Blast at Folsom Field; admission begins at 8:00pm.
Broomfield Commons Park will have a fireworks show beginning at 9:30pm.
Brighton will have a fireworks display at Carmichael Park beginning at sundown.
Englewood will be hosting 18th Annual Family Festival and Fireworks located at Belleview Park and Cornerstone Park. The festival will take place all afternoon and the fireworks will begin at 9:30pm.
