Bob, something similar to this sounds like something I would really appeal to me.  For me, a Monastery may be good, but I would prefer a Convent.  Such peace and serenity.  Just right for this Nice Catholic Girl from Cleveland.

As far as finding two priests to take over the retreat weekends... I could easily see that being done by the Association of Catholic Women Priests... which has been active in various parts of the country since 2002.  It is so great to finally see Catholic Women Priests... and so long overdue.

I sounds like the weekend was spent replenishing yourselves. Wonderful thing to do for yourself.

I will put your post on my Face Book in hope you guys can find a priest. I don't have any priests on there but there are plenty of Catholics. Maybe my friends know a priest who may want the job.

AND I DID NOT KNOW WOMEN CAN NOW BE PRIESTS!

Sussie:  Regarding Women Catholic Priests:  Beginning in the year 2002... a group of seven male Catholic Bishops and priests (from Germany and Austria) resumed the centuries-old practice of ordaining women in the Catholic Church.  It had not been done since the third century, (when it was commonplace) but I believe eight women were duly and legitimately ordained in a valid ordination by this group of German Catholic Bishops.

Your comment in all CAPITAL letters leads me to believe that you are thinking there's no such thing as women priests.  I understand that.

Our previous Pope Benedict XVI was not in favor of women being Catholic Priests, but since the Bishops that performed the Ordinations were so empowered to do so by the very fact that they were currently Catholic Bishops (who do the ordaining, and have the ecclesiastical "power" to do so)... according to the powers invested in those Bishops AS Bishops, these women are priests.

They may not be "approved" by the former Pope... but their ordinations are valid.  As I said, their ordinations were simply a continuation of the women's ordinations that too place during the first three centuries... and even up until the twelfth century.

There are currently Women Catholic Priests in Parishes (that I know of) in the areas of Tampa, FL, Cincinnati, OH, Lexington, KY, the "Quad Cities" area, and in the Minneapolis/St Paul area... plus other areas I cannot now think of.

I actually drove up to Lexington, Kentucky on June 9, 2012 and attended an Ordination of Rev Donna Rougeux.  It was a thing of beauty... and something I shall always remember.
