A long time ago, after being burned more times than I care to remember, I made it a point to be sufficiently vague when someone would ask me for a recommendation for a service company.
So I normally run for the high ground when friends and clients ask whom I use. Every now and then, I make an exception.
And this is one of those times.
About two years ago, a friend of mine told me that her husband was an air
conditioning contractor, and did all of the work by himself, with an occasional helper.
One time it was very cold, and our central air furnace went down.
I called my friend Nelda, and asked her if she could send her husband, Rick Happel, over to take care of it.
Rick came within the hour, and he not only restored the heat, but methodically examined every other function of the unit while he was here…just something he always 
does, he told me.
Since then, Rick’s been our man.
Recently, during the night our air conditioning unit stopped working. It was going to be in excess of 100 degrees that coming day.
I called at 8 AM, and Rick was here by 9:15.
We were back in business before noon, and that took into account that he had to run down a part at the supply house.
